now, i seriously think that bad luck leads to good luck (if there's even such thing as luck in this world).
Event 1
Bad luck: i went to work yesterday, it's the normal routine to go exchange my IC for my airport transit pass but yesterday, they told me that it was my last valid date for the pass. and so, O:
How it turned to good luck: they had to help me apply for a new pass and it takes about a week to do so, so from now till next week, NO WORKKK!! WOOHOOO.
ok la, but i admit i do quite like to go to work. and now they've changed the airport music to these Classical Christmas songs and there's like this jazz saxophone piece as well and it makes me so happyyyyyyy. plus busy periods somehow arn't so busy anymore, not so stress (well, they're earning less but i don't care!)
Event 2
Bad Luck: Friday evening and no one's free to meet me! so after work, i decided to go to Great World City cus i wanted a certain zara top in peach but the outlet i was at didn't have it in my size. so i asked them to search at other outlets and they said Great World City have. so i was on my way, at cityhall already, looking for where to take the shuttle bus. and it was raining so heavily and i was in a bad mood and i also didn't know where to take the bus from. my shoes were getting wet and i was getting rather annoyed.
How it turned to good luck: i decided to just go to Marina Sq to shop. went to Zara there and woooooooow, found the top! went to try it on and oh shit, it doesn't look very nice on me so i didn't get it in the end. can you imagine if i went all the way to Great World City and i ended up not getting it? daaaaamnn.
Event 3
Bad Luck: Did something sooooo embarassing, LOL!
How it turned to good luck: i kept thinking about it and it was just so funny i couldn't stop laughing to myself like an idiot, hahahahahha! made my day manz.
Event 4
Bad Luck: okay, i wouldn't really consider this bad luck but my Aunt arrived in singapore to stay with us for a while and i just don't really fancy relatives coming over.
How it turned to good luck: My aunt was so funny cus she kept telling us stories over dinner. plus, we had pepper crab and chilli crab for dinner! whoooooo
and something very interesting happened the day before yesterday. i was doing the morning shift when it's usually very quiet and i was cleanining up after some people who finished and left. as i was clearing it up, this bald Indian man in office clothes came up to me and went "WOOOOOOW!" i was like, omg what does he want? i was expecting him to maybe comment on the menu or somehting, but he went, "you work here!" i was like, ?!?!? and he saw the obvious look of confusion and maybe disturbance on my face that he said, "it's krishan(sp?)!" and it suddenly struck me that he was one of my dad's friends. then i was like "OHhhh! Hi! yeah i work here!" and he was like, "yeah wow! airport yeah? very cool very cool. i going to Hong Kong today!" and i didn't know what to say so i just said, "oh so coincidental!" and he was all "Believe in miracles man" yeah, veryyy interesting, suddenly i felt very hopeful for everything in life or something, lol! |

Oh man, I really would like a time remote control or something so that I can rewind time back and get back all the time I've wasted. Not a day goes by when I do not feel that my time in SG is running out and I need to do something more worth while, meet more people, go more places and fry more fish. (Lol) I think about it everyday, but what the he'll am I doing?! I'm wasting my time sleeping ( yeah I still think sleep is a waste of time, but too luxurious to not do.) and looking at shop after shop online where I won't end up buying anything and if I do, I don't end up wearing them out cus it doesn't come as expected. Why do I still keep doing this?! I had like so many plans when I first came back, I wanted to read so many books, perfect my French and find me a serial drama partner so we could watch The OC and Gossip Girl together which seems close to impossible right now. as for books, all I read was one book and i'm only halfway through my 'French in Three Months' tape after four months. Went for mass at Holy Family yesterday and it was Father Iggy's like farewell sermon kinda thing cus he's gonna transfer to the new church in pasir ris. He was telling us that God speaks to us all the time but we just feel that he isn't cus we just arn't listening. He said that it's really easy to hear him, really, and that like sometimes, we can just be lying in bed and thinking about our day and suddenly a thought strikes us and we'll suddenly feel really excited and enthusiastic about that thought. Apparently that's God talking to us. It usually comes when we've put all our distractions away and start thinking about what we've been doing with our lives, and it usually fills us with excitement and enthusiasm. He was also telling us that God speaks to us through our conscience and that we should listen to our conscience instead of our hearts cus even animals have hearts, it is our conscience which makes us human. But that said, we should always follow our dreams and not just do what others want us to do. And this part really touched me, he started singing If We Hold On Together and he made it so apt for his sermon. Yeah I realised that I really like Holy Family, like everytime I go there, I actually learn something and I don't fall asleep so easily in church, haha. Posted via LiveJournal.app. |

Audrey's 18th party at Macs was really fun! though we missed more than half of it and it started on a reeeeeeeeally bad note. had to travel sooo far, plus rain, thunder and lighting, plus cold plus wet plus destruction of my new shoes plus so congested until cannot move plus long taxi queue plus an asshole of an uncle who barely spoke english. thank goodness Little Miss Giggles (theresse) and Little Miss Sunshine (ethel) were with me, lololol. reached the party and directed all the pek-chek-ness into being my character and LOL, i must say, being naughty really cheers me up *snigger snigger* and yeah, i'm sorry to everyone who had to endure my all time high annoying level but don't worry friends! Little Miss Naughty only lives for a day and that day has ended ): but it was fun while it lasted RIGHT? LOL. i even did preparation at home and thought out of ways to be naughty, hahahha. and i brought my post-it pad and permanent marker to stick Punch-Me notes on people! and i was actually anticipating having fun with clarissa cus she was supposed to be Little Miss Contrary, so i could annoy and confuse her with contradictions. but she ended up being Little Miss Curious. haha, i told her yesterday that she should be Little Miss Contrary cus she does stupid things all the time and she can say that the stupid actions means the opposite cus she's simply being her character, hahaha.
the only games i managed to play were musical chairs and the pinata (which isn't exactly a game) but they both ended damn hilariously, especially when the pinata broke and we all rushed to collect the goodies and stuffed them into audrey's clothes, hahaha! awesomeeeeeeeee! and the cake was actually surprisingly tasty, must have been the part which didn't have audrey's face on it, haha! ok la, there were like crunchy biscuity parts which went damn well with the chocolate mousse, yummmm. and today was the first time in a year plusplus (maybe two) that i've eaten more than half a burger from Macs, hahaha.

omg this dude has some seriously sick shit going on.
i was about to go to bed yesterday this morning and i realised that tomorrow is the day of the mika competition results (i think, haha!) and i also felt like watching our video cus well, it makes me happy, lol. then i saw this guy's vid in the related vids and omgggg i was so stunned! it's so awesome, it gave me goosebumps! i've never seen an awesomer video, and trust me, i've seen some really awesome vids.
okay, honestly i'm not like crushed AT ALL. please, we were never certain that we would win. we just knew that we had a fighting chance, with all you guys giving us so much good feedback and all. and okay la, we did start out making the video with the hope of winning (and we still do), but like after seeing how much support you guys have been giving us and how much talk it has been generating, somehow we don't feel all that intent on winning anymore. like we just feel that we've done so much and we're really, really happy with what we've achieved already. in a nutshell, you guys made us feel like winners :) Thank you guys.
and well, he has a lower view count than us, but it doesn't mean that we're better at all, it just means that we have more friends (or over-supportive mums who watches the video everyday, lol!) and yeah, i'm actually glad i saw this vid, it's sooo cool, i bet he had a green screen and some pR000 program to edit his work, and i bet he put in a huuuuuge amount of hardwork in as well. all we had was Windows Movie Maker (big joke) but still, i'm really proud that we managed to make full use of what we had and came up with a video like ours.

So yesterday, with the opening of my room window by my mum, i've ended my 14-day boycott against the weather which had extreme haze the day i started, which was like on my birthday, hahaha. cus the day after my birthday, i fell sick and i totally blame the haze. so yeah, lol.

OMGGGG, i'm finally at Florence. i've (sort of) tried to get Rome over and done with so that i could quickly get to Florence before i forget all the cool and wonderful stuff that has happened there. but i kinda think that i've forgotten a lot already DDD: on hindsight, i really should have like, wrote what happened down as i go about the trip. but it would have been really tough though, already as it was, i had too many things in my hands. everyday, i brought out my polaroid, DSLR, digital camera (in case i give up on the DSLR or i accidently screw up the settings on it and don't know how to adjust it back), wallet and handphone. yeah, shoulder pain everyday. usually i'll carry the DSLR in my hands, and like that my hands are already full. how to hold camera, eat gelato and write at the same time! well anyway, i'll just have to do with what i have.

You know those kind of dreams where you wake up from them and you go about your daily activities and halfway through, you realise you're actually still sleeping and it's all a dream? then you keep trying to wake up over and over again, but you're just stuck in dreamland and can't wake up.
metaphorically speaking, i just woke up. but the thing is, i didn't even know i wasn't 'awake'. and then i started to wonder whether i actually am finally awake. i mean like, is it even possible for someone to be fully 'awake'? like there would always be something out there we've been oblivious about. it can't be possible that there's someone who is actually certain of everything.
Don't you wish you sometimes didn't know so much?

heh, just finished watching Boys Before Flowers yesterday. can i say how much korean dramas annoy me? like i'm starting to see some kind of trend (besides the whole i-love-you-then-i-hate-you-and-i-love-someone-else-then-now-i-love-you-again thing), i realise that the main actor is always really ugly and is always an asshole who no one likes. and then his best friend will be the awesome angel from heaven who radiates light from his body. but somehow, the bad guy always wins the girl and the cute awesome guy would have to settle for being second best, some 'soulmate' shit. and they never seem to have a happy ending for themselves.
and it's just a drama, but i feel reallyreallyreeaaally sorry for the best friend guy who's chivalrous enough to give up the girl. and they just had to make him the cutest actor. (shittt, i'm sounding like such a fangirl now, like those annoying girls who obssess over manga characters and taiwanese singers -shudders-)
okok, it's just a drama. seriously, i doubt anyone can be as perfect as the bestfriend dude. i bet even the actor isn't like that in real life. sigh, all boys have cooties. |

It's like a habit. I wake up, brush my teeth, use the loo, then go to the kitchen to grab some breakfast. but it's really weird now. cus it's also part of my habit to look to my left once i open my room door to see whether you're still asleep or whether you've gone out. it's so weird now that when i turn to the left, i see a bed which used to be so cluttered with all your stuff, all empty and bare and striped off it's bedsheets. i'm not used to it.
and when it's late into the night and i'm about to go to bed, i close my door, but at the same time, i look into your room and see it all dark and all and i automatically think to myself, "that girl ah. so late and still out." then it strikes me that you're not even here.
and the funniest part is that i never expected it to be this strange. we've lived in separate houses before, and even when we were both under one roof, i sometimes didn't see you for more than 24hours. but i guess i took it for granted that you'd always be around and that i'll see you sooner or later.
the house gets really quiet sometimes. especially at night when everyone's sleeping and you and i would be the only ones awake. before you left, sometimes i'd listen to you practising your uke late at night. and now i'd just be the only one awake.
i'm not gonna lie, you sometimes annoy me cus you like to mess around with my things and i think you should respect other people's stuff more, but seriously, i'm just selfish like that. i don't think you knew what you were saying when you told me that i was the least selfish person you know. and i don't know why but you still love me even though i sometimes feel like i treat you so horribly :/
it's so funny, cus when we were a lot younger, i used to be the one who would always follow you around like an annoying lost puppy and you'd tell me to stop following you, and you'd hate sharing your toys with me such that mum and dad had to impose some strict sharing rule. it's like we switched personalities now or something, haha.
and you know, you can really see through my empty words sometimes. but i hope you can see the sincerity this time when i say that i really, do miss you. lol this really reminds me of a Hey Arnold episode when Olga came back to teach in the school and Helga was fed up of being treated like such a baby by her and in the end, Helga asked her to go to alaska to teach the poor kids there instead. and it ended with Helga writing a postcard to Olga and signed off with 'from, Helga' and at the last minute, she added the word 'love' in front. (aiya, max, why so cheesy.)
well, it's funny how absence makes the heart grow fonder eh. |
